Ahmad Razlah Ahmat

Just a few days before Hari Raya Aidilfitri 1428, I received a call from a dear friend. She asked me, "Razlah, today is my son’s 4th birthday. He asked me, mummy, today is my birthday. Isn’t daddy going to take me out to celebrate my birthday? What am I going to say to him?"

Maimunah (bukan nama sebenar) used to be married before . In that marriage, she had a daughter now aged 6 years old. Her husband divorced her when the daughter was 2 years old. Since then she was a single mother taking care of her daughter alone without any support from her ex-husband. She was working in an airline in Malaysia (not as a cabin crew). During her tenure in that airline, she got seriously involved with a senior management, Ramlee (bukan nama sebenar) who was married with 4 kids, and got pregnant without getting legally married. When he was told that she was pregnant, he asked her to get rid of the child, but, she refused. He then promised her that he will marry her and be responsible for the child. But, his wife found out about the affair and threatened him for a divorce. He did not agree with a divorce. Eventually, Maimunah gave birth with a gorgeous son now 4 years old. Again, like his first husband, Ramlee did not take responsibilities for the child. Now, Maimunah have two kids to take care without any support in any kind from anyone. Every time her kids asked her about their fathers, she had to lie.

Guys….

There are five kinds of single mother in this world that I know of. There might be more.

One.    Became single mother because deceased of the husband.
Two.    Became single mother because of divorce.
Three.  Became single mother because of being ‘naughty’ and the ‘man’ refuse to take responsibilities.
Four.    Became single mother because of self choice.
Five     Became single mother because of being forced.

Besides case One, why must the other cases happened?
Have you guys thought of the consequences to yourself and especially to the innocent kids?
Ladies, do you think that you can raise kids suffice by just having lots of money and mother’s love?
Gentlemen, do you think the ladies can raise kids suffice by just  having lots of money and mother’s love?

Avoid cases two to five to happen. Go back to your religion. If you are already one of them, do something about it. Don’t forget, children are God’s gift to us. Value them. Talk to someone……………………..

Jamillah Binti Mat Tassim was born in Kampung Sungai Ramal Luar, Kajang in 1941. 5th out of 8 siblings. Studied till Standard 6. Got married to Cikgu Ahmat Bin Haji Ahmat at the age of 19. Gave birth to for children, Ahmad Razlah (1961), Ahmad Razi (1963), Ahmad Rafi (1965) and Rufiza (1968). She have 9 grandchildren age ranges from 5  to 12 years old.
She was diagnosed with diabetes since year 2001. In 2005 she started to perform dialysis 3 times a week. Bed ridden since February 2007 passed away in Kajang Hospital on 2nd October 2007 at 1940.

She was our beloved mother. We loved her and we are going to missed her so much. We hope that she will rest in peace with hidayah from Allah.
